Conquest Events
Husband and wife team, John and Nicky Walsh, compete successfully on rallies and together they organise "The French Revolution" classic rally car event. They campaign either a 1928 Lea Francis mainly on VSCC rallies, and either a 1955 TR2 or 1968 TR5 on Continental events, so are well aware of all the demands on the driver, navigator and car.
In 1996 Conquest Events was formed with the philosophy of organising an classic rally car event that combined traditional regularity rallying with delightful hotels, outstanding scenery and places of interest.
Today, Conquest's French Revolution Rally is designed to provide interesting and challenging routes, into which are woven non-timed sections and a chance to admire rural France. Each day there are several Café Controls, where crews can take a break. Timings and classes are designed to enable all vintage rally cars, historic rally cars or classic cars to compete on an equal basis.
Each year we visit and explore a different area of France and many entrants return to rally their classic car with us again and again. Conquest Events' rallies are firmly established as a sociable and a sporting event, and we strive to ensure that this tradition will continue.
